Fashion Tips: How to Choose Your Own Unique Style. Part 2: Naïve Romantic Style

In my previous post ”Fashion Tips: How to Choose Your Own Unique Style. Dramatic Style” I started describing 6 major personal styles, and how to recognize the style that suits you the most. In this post I am going to shed some light on “naïve romantic” style.

Some lucky woman have faces which make them always look extremely young: wide open naïve eyes, small noses and sincere smiles. First word that comes to your mind when you see a lady that falls under naïve romantic type is “cute”. I do not need to go into long explanations about naïve type.  To check if you are right thinking about someone who might belong to this type, all you need to do is to picture that lady in light romantic dress with ruffles and bows. If the picture looks very natural, you probably have identified naïve romantic type. This kind of women are always positive, light-hearted and kind. It feels as they are day-dreaming most of the time, sometimes to the point of being unpunctual.

Naïve romantic type of women look extremely well when they wear soft-colored dresses with ruffles, bows and flowers. They are allowed to wear an outfit with an infantile mode to it; moreover, this kind of outfit flatters them the most. On the contrary, if you dress naïve romantic person in something classy and very sophisticated, her flirting and giggling personality may come to be hidden. Naïve romantic type of women should not be afraid to wear outfits which mesh well with their characters. If you identified your style as naïve romantic, feel free to wear light fabrics such as chiffon, silk and lace. Soft colors, such as peach, pistachio, lemon and beige, and, of course, white color will look great on you. You can go for bright-colored and bold accessories, but your outfits should definitely be of softer colors. It will be easy for you to pull off an outfit with some childish details, such as bows or cartoon character prints, and look both cute and stylish – just because your face and your personality fit this kind of style.

Legendary Marylin Monroe’s style can be characterized as naïve romantic. If you glance at Marylin Monroe’s old photographs you can see her smile almost at every picture. Of course, she looked stunning in any outfit, but most memorable shots are the ones where she wore white or soft-colored light dresses.

Remember her famous shot in white dress?
To give you an example of naïve romantic style from modern world, let me share with you several images of Selena Gomez. No doubt, she also looks stunning in outfits which do not fall under naïve romantic style, but to me, she looks her best on these images. Notice that she wears soft-colored romantic dresses in these shots.

And here is another image of Selena Gomez – this time in black dress – so you can see how different she looks in an adult-like sophisticated dress.
I hope you have found this information useful. If you have not identified your own style yet, do come back for my upcoming post on natural style.
